Resumen

The Da Vinci Surgical System, is a robot that allows any type of operation traditionally performed by laparoscopy with a very high level of accuracy. The big problem is the cost of the system, because the tools used are programmed to be used a specific number of times (usually 10). This paper studies the conditions of two tools after 10 uses to determine the level of wear they exhibit.  The observation was made of in a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), with a chemical analysis by electron scattering spectroscopy (EDS).  In conclusion, the studies prove that analyzed tools are high quality products with high resistance to wear and disposal after 10 uses is not technically justified.
