Resumen
With the license of Quality Control Audits on Cuban Nuclear Medicine Services, started a process of harmonization of quality criteria, as well as its surveillance and control. This process was developed gradually, first with diagnostic audits, and then with full planned and systematic audits. The main objective of this national program is the early detection of deficiencies which may cause radiological risks, wrong diagnoses or inadequate therapies. In this paper, results and details of such audits are shown, comparing them with desired values, regarding instrumentation and radiological protection associated to its efficient and safe use. Besides, found out disagreements help in a better management of quality criteria for the right use of equipments, and also decision making on new technologies acquirement. Given results have been very useful for training specialists belonging to the medical institutes, and works as background for the application of the document “Audits on Quality Management in Nuclear Medicine Practice. OIEA, 2009”. Necessity of analyze found out deficiencies for a better results quantitative valuation of audits is proved.
